The Victor LaGamma Trio will return to the main dining room on Friday, November 24th. The Victor LaGamma Trio plays favorites from the American Songbook as well as original compositions (including our theme song “Alvin & Friends”!) Featuring jazz pianist Victor LaGamma, Eric Katz on vibraphone and Dylan LaGamma on bass. No cover charge, but there is a two-drink minimum at the bar and tables are reserved for those ordering a meal.
Jazz pianist Leslie Pintchik, formerly a fixture at Larchmont’s late lamented Watercolor Café, is now appearing regularly twice a month at Alvin & Friends. On Saturday, November 25th the Leslie Pintchik Trio returns to the main dining room with Leslie Pintchik on piano, Scott Hardy on bass, and Michael Sarin on drums. CDHotList.com says “Pianist and composer Leslie Pintchik is one of the finest bandleaders in the field of straight-ahead jazz right now, someone who not only writes with inventive wit and a keen melodic sense, but who also consistently draws the best out of her band members — and she plays piano like a combination of Bud Powell and Bill Evans, impressionistic without being arty, tunefully direct without being simplistic.” No cover charge, but tables in the main dining room are reserved for those ordering a meal and there is a two-drink minimum at the bar.
