On Monday, June 19th Alvin & Friends travels to the Jacob Burns Film Center for the opening night of the “Film to Table Series” featuring a screening of “Ella Brennan: Commanding the Table.” The film is the story of the inspirational matriarch behind the iconic Commander’s Palace restaurant in New Orleans, who revolutionized creole cuisine while helping to launch the celebrity chef phenomenon. The evening will feature a reception, live music and a Q&A with restaurateur Alvin Clayton, owner of Alvin & Friends.
Tickets for the film screening and Q & A with Alvin Clayton are $10 members, $15 non-members
A limited amount of tickets are available for a special tasting package, which includes the film screening and Q & A plus The Big Easy Summer Party, featuring a tasting of Alvin & Friends’ contemporary cuisine with Southern and Caribbean flavors and a performance of traditional Cajun dance tunes by The Bunkhouse Boys. Tickets for film, Q&A and reception: $75 members, $100 nonmembers.
