$40

Alexander and Book

Join us for an evening with Chef Alexander Smalls on Thursday, June 28th. (Please note date has changed!) Cost is $40 per person. You’ll enjoy wine and a selection of appetizers from his new book, “Between Harlem and Heaven: Afro-American-Asian Cooking for Big Nights, Weeknights and Every Day.” Then Sunny Hostin of “The View” will moderate a Question and Answer session with Chef Smalls. You’ll also be able to buy his cookbook (courtesy of The Voracious Reader) and have it signed.
About Chef Smalls:
Chef Alexander Smalls is the visionary behind the award-winning restaurant The Cecil and its sister restaurant Minton’s, serving as its co-owner and Executive Chef. One of Zagat’s “19 NYC Restaurant Power Players You Need to Know,” Chef Smalls is also a world-renowned opera singer and the winner of both a Grammy Award and a Tony Award for the cast recording of the Houston Grand Opera’s Porgy & Bess. Now he comes to New Rochelle to sit down with Alvin and Sunny Hostin to share some of the stories behind his new cookbook “Between Harlem and Heaven.” Inspired by the way African, Asian and African-American influences criss-crossed cuisines around the world, the book includes 100 recipes “for Big Nights, Weeknights and Every Day.”
Reservations required.
