Within only a few short years of moving to northern Westchester, Matt Huntington has become a highly sought-after musician in the Westchester/Putnam/Dutchess area. He has played with such legends as Gary Smulyan, Eric Alexander, Paquito D’Rivera, Robin Eubanks, Roy Hargrove, Jimmy Heath, Steve Wilson, Cyrus Chestnut, Gregory Hutchinson, Claudio Roditi, Lew Soloff, Scott Wendholt, and many many more. Originally from Philadelphia, Matt started playing flute at age 9 and then switched to saxophone in high-school. Matt attended Vassar College where he studied with Ed Xiques (of Thad Jones / Mel Lewis Jazz Orchestra fame) and David Castiglione (of John Zorn fame). In 2013, he received his master’s degree in jazz performance from SUNY Purchase, where he studied with Eric Alexander, Vincent Herring, Doug Munro, Andy Laverne, Grant Stewart, Jon Faddis, and John Abercrombie. No cover charge but tables are reserved for diners and there is a two-drink minimum at the bar.
