Alexander McCabe Trio

Saxophonist Alex McCabe brings his trio to Alvin & Friends with with Ray Macchiarola on guitar and Ugonna Okegwo on bass.

Alexander McCabe is Saxophonist, pianist and composer. His newest CD is Cuba Bella (his  7th album as a leader). The music blends Cuban and Mexican musical traditions with contemporary Jazz.  Listeners will hear strains of 1950’s Havana, folk music from Mexico and N.Y.C. Hard Bop and Avant Garde Jazz. This upbeat and penetrating, Spanish language album also provides a unique opportunity for Alexander to create music with the Hager siblings as a group, after numerous projects with each individually. Alexander says, ”The music is approachable, tuneful and should appeal to lovers of Latin Jazz as well as traditional Spanish music and hard core Jazz fans.”
