About the Bob Stewart Quartet:

Robert (Bob) Stewart – Vocalist: Bob started his singing career with the Tony Palestro Band. He has also been featured with the Faker Five, Willie Rodriguez, Willie Martinez and Hot House. He formed the Jazz Men six years ago and since that time he has performed at many of New England’s prestigious venues. Bob’s deep sumptuous baritone voice and style is reminiscent of Lou Rawls, Arthur Prysock and Johnny Hartman. A versatile performer, Bob has had feature roles in two films (“Whispers of White”,  “Hard rock”) and the provocative theater production: A Soldier’s Play,  in which he played Sergeant Waters.

Bob Riccio – Guitarist: In addition to teaching, Bob has led performances with Trombonist Tom “Bones” Malone, Tim Sessions, Saxophonist “Blue” Marini, Houston Person, Bassist Steve Gilmore, and many other jazz notables. He has appeared at Radio City Music Hall, Birdland Jazz Club, and The Harvard Club. Bob’s composing and arranging efforts includes projects for many of the country’s top companies: Mckinsey and company, Olin Corporation, U.S. Surgical Corporation, Price Waterhouse, and many others.

Bobby Leonard – Drums :Has been performing as drummer, in the tri state area, for over forty years. His impressive resume includes tours throughout the United States and Europe with such noted artists as Milt Jackson, Woody Herman, Gerry Mulligan, Dave Liebman, and Linc Chamberlain.

Phil Bowler – Bassist: Has played with a veritable “Who’s Who” of notable Jazz artists, Rahsaan Roland Kirk, Wynton Marsalis, Max Roach, Horace Silver, Jackie Mclean. He has toured with the Count Basie Orchestra and recorded with Branford Marsalis, Donald Harrison, Terrence Blanchard, Ralph Peterson, just to name a few. In addition to his music credits Phil also hosted his own live Jazz show, “Jazz Adventures” WPKN Bridgeport CT

Ken Gioffre – Saxophonist:  Has recorded on Sony, Universal, Blue Note as well as the ABC, NBC,A&E, HBO and BET television networks. He has appeared on New York Tonight, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Today Show and the made for TV Movie, “Last Holiday” starring Queen Latifah. He has also recorded with such notables as, Nancy Wilson, BB King, Lou Rawls, Randy Brecker, and currently tours with Smokey Robinson.
