Matt Garrison and the Terranean Tinge

Saxophonist Matt Garrison and The Terranean Tinge make their Alvin & Friends debut on Friday, May 24th in the Main Dining Room. The Terranean Tinge was created by Matt Garrison in October 2016. What started out as a one off engagement at Rosemary and Vine, a vegan/vegetarian mediterranean restaurant in Rye NY, quickly turned into a weekly Wednesday jazz show featuring a sort of jazz/mediterranean fusion. Garrison quickly began composing new music to fit in with the style of the club, using different defining characteristics of Turkish, Lebanese, and American jazz music. Hip-Hop is also infused in the mix. The musicians chosen all have different cultural and musical backgrounds and contribute their personal flavors to each piece. The music contains many different “grooves” but all songs stress singable melodies. No cover charge but tables are reserved for diners and there is a two-drink minimum at the bar.
